My story

Howdy! My name is Tinsel, and I'm an adult black and white long-haired boy kitty! I was brought to the shelter as a stray, but I was already neutered, which tells you that I used to have a family. I'm not sure what happened to them, but I am a friendly, affectionate boy who absolutely loves to cuddle and nuzzle and love on people! In fact, it took the lady who took my photos extra work to get those photos, because all I wanted to do was snuggle with her!  I might meow at you, and I definitely will if you come give me some pets and love! I have a nice floofy coat, and I love to swish my tail around happily.  Oh, and I get along great with other kitties--even kittens--the ones in the cage next to me keep trying to open the separators between their cage and mine, so sometimes we get to play and hang out together! I hope I find my true furever family very soon.    The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.        July 1, 2025, 9:23 pm
