Chungus

My story

Chungus is a big-hearted boy with a gentle soul who’s ready for his forever home. Transferred to us from an overcrowded shelter at the start of June, Chungus came in with a tipped ear which is a sign that he was once part of a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program. But somewhere along the way, someone must have realized what we now know for sure: this boy is far too sweet and tame for a life on the streets. Upon arrival, Chungus was treated for a minor ear infection and quickly won over the shelter staff with his affectionate nature. He loves attention and seeks out people. His tipped ear tells the story of a cat who’s known the hardships of outdoor life. But his demeanor and affectionate behavior tell us he’s always been meant for life indoors. Chungus isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. He’s had to fend for himself before, but now he deserves a life where he doesn’t have to search for his next meal or shelter from the weather. What he needs now is safety, stability and someone who will meet his needs with love and care. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
