My story

Moose is here but not for long. We are all positive he is perfect! From his face to his personality, he is giving everything huggable, lovable, squeezable… He is social without being too outgoing or pushy, he is playful but not the non-stop type, he settles into relaxed easily. Perfectly peaceful in the best company kind of way. Oh— and prepare to be schmoozed by those irresistibly adorable puppy eyes. He’s got that move down packed! https://youtu.be/GUjZg4jCD-Y Moose is estimated to be 1.5 years old, which may have something to do with the balance of his bouncy happy and quick return to calm. He weighs 58 lbs and is fully grown. Our breed observations lead us to believe, no guarantees because its rescue, he is likely a Shepherd mix. Breed doesn’t matter as much as his amazing disposition, friendly nature, and best-friend potential. Moose met loads of new people and dogs during this time with us and he continued to impress us and make us laugh. With people he is perfectly outgoing without being insistent or pushy. With dogs, he quickly offers an invitation to play but doesn’t pester if they don’t accept. He has great play manners, suiting his energy to the calm, less playful types just as easily as the bouncy pups who are ready to play chase. He easily took treats next to another dog on several occasions and was consistently a gentleman, waiting his turn, never once trying to take the other dogs treat and he wasn’t concerned when the other dog would check on what he got by smelling around his face. He did not display any reactivity with food or toys, an ideal quality for multi-pet homes. Moose would love a home with a playful doggie-friend, ideally similar sized so he can bounce around without worrying he could hurt his friend. At 1.5 y/o he is still learning his puppy playfulness is inside a fully-grown dogs body. If you are looking for a walking partner, Moose is prime for the role. He has great leash manners and walks with an easy pace, stays close and is patient if you need to stop and chat or tie your shoe. Plus, he is already confident and at ease when tandem walking with another dog. Within a minute of meeting a new dog he was walking in perfect side by side on a narrow path with absolute ease. If you are a bit introverted and enjoy an unbothered walk, Moose will be a great buddy, he is friendly but not going to pull you into meeting random people just so he can get a few pets. He is happy to be with you and isn’t going to make the first move with strangers on the street. His favorite pass times are hanging with his hooman, cuddles and snuggles, making new friends (2 & 4 legged!), nibbling on something yummy— he loves his chews! On top of everything else, when we introduced Moose to our house cat he was such a gentleman. He was intrigued but calm and respectful. He minded the cats boundaries and settled into a relaxed, unconcerned position laying on the rug. We consider him cat-tolerant and are happy to do further meetings with feline friends to ensure this is a consistent response from him. Can you see why we think he is perfect? If you are mostly in love but have a few questions email priya@threelittlepittiesrescue.org In love and want to make the first move? Apply today! He truly is one who will be adopted so quickly so do not hesitate to apply. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/679bba99757b7560430ab6c7 We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care.
