You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ANISE hails from the Northern community of Mishkeegogamang and came south with her siblings (Cardamom, Fennel, Saffron & Zout) to find her forever family. She’s received her first set of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and her wellness check deemed her a healthy girl by her vet. We have a picture of their mum and she’s a white Husky of around 50lbs and we can only assume dad was a Lab due to the colouring of her and one of the other puppies too. Dad’s breed is just a guess though and we really don’t know his breed or what his size was. This laid back, chill little girl is one of the bigger ones in the litter and has a lovely soft coat that’s a mix of white, blonde and cream colouring. She loves to play with the many dog toys she has in her foster home and she has a Nyla bone to chew on to help with her teething. ANISE is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night and will also nap in it during the day too. House training is still a work in progress and she will go on a pee pad in the home if she isn’t taken outside quickly enough. She’s just started to go on walks and it’s slow going as she has never worn a collar or leash before. She’s also slowly learning that she can go to the bathroom while outside on her walks too. ANISE’s ideal family would be an active one that loves to go on hikes and walks in the woods. She does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for her. She’ll do well in a home with another dog as she’s fostered with one and being a puppy, she should adjust well with a dog sibling. She hasn’t met a cat but if there’s one in the home that’s dog savvy then they should get along. We always recommend a slow and monitored introduction to other animals in the home while the puppy is leashed just as a precaution. She should do well as an only pet in the home provided she’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving and gentle towards animals. She does require a fenced-in yard so she can be kept safe while she has a run around and play. Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We do need her adopter to be in agreement to take her for puppy/obedience training to help her to become the best girl possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spayed by the time she’s 6 months of age. The surgery will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. In order for the rescue to do so we need the spay requirements to still be followed plus a copy of the procedure invoice and a picture of her (preferably in her onsie or cone) in order to do the reimbursement. We do post the picture on our fb page along with other pets that were “fixed” in the same week. If ANISE sounds like she’ll suit your family and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her.
