My story

Howdy from Texas! I’m a handsome little Chihuahua about 4.5 years old, weigh 8.4 lbs, and I walk a bit funny. I was a stray dog in San Antonio, taken in by a family who agreed to surrender me in exchange for a case of beer! I was grateful when I moved to a foster home, got neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and it turns out I have IVDD, which is common for a Chihuahua, but I am managing it well and ready to find a forever family! I’m a happy, charming little guy with big ol’ Texas-size ears, always alert and listening, like radio antennae trying to pick up the best frequency! I am friendly with everyone, young and old, kids and teenagers, friendly with other dogs, and although I’ll bark at a kitty cat from behind a fence, I don't bother it at all when I’m walked over to meet it. I love playtime, squeaky toys, and when I go for a ride in the car, I just sit in the back seat like a good boy. My foster mom says I’m very sweet and affectionate and will push everything out of my way to get the coveted snuggle spot right beside you while we relax on the couch watching TV. I’m housebroken and know how to use a doggy door, and like most Chihuahuas, I'll bark when I need to alert you to something, and bury myself under a blanket when I sleep… even in the middle of summer, LOL! I am simply sweet, easy-going, friendly, and adorable, and when I’m out in public, everyone wants to love on me, and the feeling is mutual. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
