My story

Dog Name: Roan Breed: Pomeranian Mix Sex: Female Age: 3 years Weight: 11lbs Medical Needs: Roan is scheduled to be spayed on July 28th in Georgetown Delaware. Adopters must live within 1 hour of Georgetown and agree to keep this appointment. Housebroken: Yes, on a schedule. Crate trained: Yes. Sleeps quietly in her crate all night in foster mom’s room when crated during the day she can be vocal if she sees you and wants out . Good in the car: Yes as long as she’s secured in her seat. She enjoys looking out the window Good on a leash: When we start our walks, she does grab the leash and try to tug-o-war with it. She gets very excited when she sees you get the leash and knows shes going outside Energy level: Very high Need a fenced in yard: No, but she would really love a place to get her energy out, Roan loves to run Dog Friendly: Yes, she tries to play with the resident dogs, and doesn't really pick up on their correction. A dog that also loves to play would be the best companion for her If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? She has met strays along our walks. She doesn't show any aggression towards them but is very curious about them. Kid Friendly: Yes she enjoys the grandchildren who visit but is always supervised because of her high energy If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 8 and older with supervision Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Roan is a very sweet dog who loves every person and every dog she's met so far. She loves nothing more than attention She could benefit from some training because she doesnt know what NO means. She thinks she should be in your face/ lap most of the time Her ideal adopters will be people who have a lot of time for her, or have a lifestyle in which she can come with them to places. Chew toys are a must If she's bored and left alone for too long she will turn to chewing things up. This is why her ideal adopters won't leave her alone for long, and are willing to continue with crate training for the times you aren't home. Fosters Location: Salisbury, MD Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app) ##2421648##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Roan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
