My story

Woof! Jackson, here! I’m a very handsome 1.5-year-old Chihuahua and Rat Terrier mix boy weighing in at a perfect 10 pounds of pure love and energy. I’ve been told I’m quite the looker – and honestly, I have to agree! But my good looks are just the beginning of what I have to offer. I’m what you might call a social butterfly in the dog world. I absolutely love playing with other dogs – the more the merrier! There’s nothing better than a good game of tug of war with one or two of my furry friends. My foster family says I’m a loving young man…I’m incredibly gentle by nature. I haven’t had the chance to meet cats or children yet but given how soft and careful I am with everyone I meet, I think I’d probably do just fine with the right introductions…I’m super quick to learn. I love to get out and about in the neighborhood and I’m fantastic on a leash. I have excellent house manners but I might need a little refresher in my new home – I did here too, and it didn’t take long at all. I’m a smart cookie, so I pick up new routines quickly. Now, I do have a little confession: I have my own cozy bed, and I sleep in it like a good boy… but between you and me, I’d much rather be snuggled up in yours. There’s just something about being close to my favorite humans that makes everything feel right in the world. I’m a wonderful little boy looking for a family to love and maybe even enjoy a good game of tug of war with me. I promise to be your most loyal companion and to fill your days with tail wags, snuggles, and the kind of pure joy that only a dog can bring. Could you be the family I’ve been waiting for?
