My story

Cocoa Puff is a 1 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Cocoa Puff! Cocoa Puff is a shy but sweet guy who is ready to find a quiet, relaxing, and patient family who understands that he may need just a little bit of time while adjusting in a new home. After just a few days, this big teddy bear will start to warm up and you will find he absolutely adores pets and snuggles! He especially loves head and ear scratches and will even let out the sweetest little purrs when he’s really happy. He is otherwise a fairly calm and low-key man who doesn’t ask for much other than a few cozy spots to catnap in, a comfortable spot next to a window, and a high spot or two such as a cat tree or shelf to relax in while he simply observes everything going on around him. Cocoa Puff is a sweet and gentle man but he does startle easily from fast movements and loud noises; so, he would do best in a bit of a calmer and quieter home. He is looking for a family with respectful older children at least 8 years of age or older who understand he may prefer his independence at times. He did come into the shelter with several other cats and currently resides in a communal living area here at the shelter with a few feline friends who he adores and looks to for comfort. So, he is required to go to a home with another kitty. He may do ok with other types of respectful furry friends given slow and proper introductions to one another.
