My story

PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Introducing Toby The Sheltie! Toby wants to be your shadow! He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and doing great with his basic manner’s cues! He is very treat motivated and learns quickly! He does great for grooming and vetting. He is socially awkward with other dogs; he really likes them but he doesn’t take no for an answer so a confident and active dog sibling would be best for Toby to help him learn some healthy boundaries. He loves to play and zoomies are a favorite activity. Toby could have another dog, but it would have to be a very tolerant dog and owner. He enjoys other dogs but has bad social skills. Being a quick study, he should learn manners easily. Other than his quirks, he is a very sweet boy who wants to be by your side no matter what you’re up to! If you want to go for a walk, he’s happy, if you want to lounge on the couch, he’s all for it! He is not very interested in toys but he likes to rough house with his foster Mama and play “gonna getcha”. Toby does great with cats and he will also do well with dog savvy kids. He just needs a home to provide him with some good structure and boundaries. A Sheltie savvy home would be perfect as Toby will surely be worth the finishing work needed. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog.
