My story

** Gumby’s Story – A Promise of Love & Safety ** There are some stories that break your heart before they even begin. Gumby’s is one of them. At just **six months old**, he should be full of boundless puppy energy, chasing toys and playing without a care in the world. Instead, he weighs barely **15 pounds**—his tiny, frail body a haunting reminder of what he’s endured. We don’t know exactly what his past looked like, but we know it wasn’t kind. Hunger, fear, neglect—he’s felt it all. But **here’s what we do know**: **Gumby’s past no longer defines him.** From this moment forward, we promise him **consistent meals, a warm bed, a soft blanket, and the safety and love he’s always deserved.** He’s not available for adoption just yet. First, he needs to gain weight, heal, and truly know what it feels like to **be cherished**. What we **do** need right now is **help**—funds for his food, supplements, medical care, and a few small comforts, like a special blanket and a cozy new bed. Toys? He doesn’t quite understand them yet. But **love?** Somehow, despite everything, he understands **that** perfectly.
