My story

I’m Boomer, a 13-year-ol Dachshund with a sweet soul and a gentle heart. I was surrendered through no fault of my own. I’m a really good boy looking for a calm, understanding home to live out my golden years with love and dignity. I walk great on a leash and get along with both dogs and cats, as long as they respect my personal space. I’m kennel trained and settle nicely when my crate is covered, otherwise I bark. At night, I sleep soundly in my own bed, right next to my foster mom. I’ll need to be fed separately from other pets as I have some food aggression. I wear a diaper in the house to prevent marking, but I don’t mind at all. To meet me, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.
