My story

Meet Rodeo, a 90lb land hippo who wants to be your new best friend! This boy is looking for a home where he can receive lots of well-deserved love and continued training to ensure he becomes the well-mannered boy he aspires to be. Rodeo loves humans, ESPECIALLY the little ones, but is a big boy however respectful he may be, and would do best in a home with dog-savvy children so he doesn’t overwhelm them with his love and wiggles. This smart boy is already crate-trained! Rodeo’s foster has described him as fun-loving, mentioning that he loves car rides and playing in the water. Rodeo has lived with chickens before and has a generally respectful and curious response to small animals. He can coexist with them, especially with attentive humans to redirect him when necessary. Rodeo will benefit from a structured home with a confident handler that can provide continued leash training and potty training, and he is very attentive making him receptive to learning new things and wanting to please his humans! Rodeo is also dog-friendly and incredibly respectful, so he would do well as a solo dog or with a well-matched dog companion.
