My story

Meet Dexter, a 2-month-old red Lab mix with a calm and easygoing personality that’s rare for a pup his age. While his littermates may be bouncing off the walls, Dexter prefers to take it all in with those thoughtful eyes and a relaxed tail wag. He’s a gentle little guy who loves a good nap, a soft cuddle, and quiet moments with his favorite people.Dexter is the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow pup with lots of love to give. He’s still young and learning, but his laid-back nature makes him a joy to be around. Whether you`re curled up on the couch or enjoying a peaceful stroll, Dexter will be right there by your side, ready to be your best buddy for life.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
