My story

Meet Gunner, a 4-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who came to Big Dog Ranch after being surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for him. He arrived with his two best friends, Nola and Maebell, and the three are a bonded trio who must be adopted together. Their bond runs deep, and they find comfort and confidence in one another. Gunner is a happy, affectionate boy with a moderate energy level, making him well-suited for many types of families—including those new to dog ownership. He is good with dogs, cats, and children, and he’s housetrained, good on a leash, and knows basic commands. He loves to cuddle, play with his toys, and splash around in the water. However, Gunner can be a little possessive with toys around other dogs, so a watchful eye during playtime is helpful. He also takes medication for storm anxiety, so he’ll need a home that understands how to comfort him during Florida's rainy seasons.
