Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi, my name is Maxx. I am from Arkansas. Maxx is the sweetest boy. He loves his cuddles and wants to be near you at all times if possible. He will play with toys but is quick to settle down and sit with you! Maxx will let you do his grooming with little struggle, but doesn’t mind if that grooming also involves tasty treats! He can be quite picky with his food, so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t finish a meal. He also is good with taking his pills if they are in pill pockets. Maxx is still working on walking on a leash. He is working on crate training, and will whine for a while before settling down. He is doing good with potty training if he is taken out every few hours, but still wears a belly band indoors just in case he feels the need to leave a small pee mail gift. Maxx enjoys being with other dogs but does need to be a couch potato for the time being (due to the heartworm diagnosis), so only calm friends right now! Maxx cannot wait to get all the snuggles and playtimes he possibly can! I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.
