My story

Scrappy is an 8-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit that shines brighter than his eyesight ever could. He was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico, where he was found severely matted and suffering from an advanced case of mange—conditions that likely contributed to his vision loss. Despite the neglect he endured, Scrappy is incredibly resilient. His fur is growing back beautifully, and with good care, he’s on the road to feeling his best. He may be blind, but he doesn’t let that slow him down—he navigates the world with his nose, ears, and a whole lot of courage. Scrappy is calm, affectionate, and happiest when he’s snuggled up next to someone who loves him. He enjoys short walks, cozy beds, and the reassuring presence of a kind human. He’s great with routines and adapts beautifully to new surroundings once he gets the lay of the land. Scrappy gets along well with other mellow dogs and would do best in a quiet home where he can feel safe and secure. He’s already overcome so much, and now he’s ready for his forever family—someone who sees past his blindness and into the loyal, loving companion he is. Scrappy is being fostered in a private home in Ewing New Jersey with other dogs. He’s doing great and ready for his new family! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.
