My story

Meet Buddy, the happiest little sidekick you could ask for! This 7.5-year-old, 11 lb Dachshund is an affectionate, easygoing pup who loves nothing more than being near his people—preferably curled up on your lap. Buddy is respectful of other dogs, enjoys greeting pups of all sizes on walks, and has been gentle around school-aged kids. He’s confident, doesn’t startle easily, and has no sensitivities when it comes to touch or handling. He’s shown himself to be friendly and adaptable in all kinds of situations. While Buddy doesn’t have much interest in toys just yet, he lives for cuddles, belly rubs, and treats. He walks well on a leash, is house trained, and has been respectful of his senior foster sibling at home. He’s a spritely little guy who enjoys his walks but doesn’t need tons of exercise—he’s just as happy lounging with you. At night, Buddy prefers sleeping near his people (he doesn’t love being crated or left in a separate room), but with time, he may grow more comfortable with independence as he continues to settle in. He’s simply a sweet, happy, low-maintenance companion who’ll bring endless love and snuggles to his forever home.
