Lena

My story

Lena is a two-year-old, 42-pound Lab mix who is smart, social, and very affectionate. She loves being around people and gets along great with other dogs. Although she had a rough start, neglected and trapped in a crate 24/7 until she lost most of her hair, and you could see every bone in her body. Lena is incredibly loving and wants to be close to her people. She can be a bit cautious in new environments, but she adjusts quickly and is eager to connect. In her foster home, she enjoys running in the yard, rolling in the grass, and playing with the other dogs. While she's playful, she's also happy to settle in while you work or watch TV. She LOVES being in a dog bed and getting cozy. She's doing well with house training and is working on managing some separation anxiety. Lena would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day and where she can continue to build confidence and feel secure.
