My story

Meet Citrus! This 9-week-old, 8-pound Shepherd mix is as sweet and gentle as her name suggests. From the moment her foster picked her up, Citrus proved she’s a total snuggler—she immediately climbed into their lap and hasn’t stopped seeking out cuddles since. If you sit on the floor, she’ll happily curl up on your lap and drift off to sleep. She adores being petted and is incredibly affectionate with everyone she meets, including kids and adults. Citrus is playful but calm, especially when compared to her puppy peers. While she’s not overly toy-obsessed, she enjoys gentle play sessions with her sister, Cove, and is learning how to have fun in her own sweet way. She’s also very polite when jumping up or giving playful nibbles—never rough, always gentle. Citrus is already 100% puppy pad trained, crate trained, and knows how to sit, which shows just how smart and eager to please she is. Like any curious puppy, she does love to chew on things, so supervision and redirection are important as she continues learning. She doesn’t bark much, sheds just a bit, and hasn’t shown any fears or sensitivities so far. While she hasn’t met cats or gone on leash walks yet, her easygoing and friendly nature suggests she’ll adjust well with the right introductions. Citrus is the perfect blend of cuddly and curious and would thrive in a home that’s ready for the joys (and occasional chaos) of puppyhood.
