My story

Approx DOB: April 2024 Mabel was found with her mom and siblings at 7 weeks old, however, sadly, there were no available foster homes open for them. A few months later, after having already been spayed and released, her caretaker found her living amongst the colony as the only kitten, after her mom and siblings disappeared. She was trapped once again and then brought into foster care. After living the colony life for almost her first 5 months, it took her time to trust, but she has turned into a wonderful affectionate young adult and is ready to find her perfect someone. She is a very special, petite little girl that deserves a special person. She loves her foster mom very much. They have developed a special bond and Mabel loves to climb up and cuddle on her chest in the mornings. Because of this bond, she would be a wonderful companion for a single female. She has grown to like her “dad”, but the strongest bond is with her mom. She has become her own independent woman and isn’t the type that needs to know where you are or be under your feet at all times. She comes from a foster home with many cats, which sometimes can cause more timid personalities to not be able to blossom into all that they can be. Mabel is one of those and in a home of her own, she would have the ability and freedom to do just that. She has bonded and plays well with all the cats in her home but definitely tends to prefer the adult males as her buddies. A home with another cat, preferably a male, for her to be friends with be ideal. She will be most comfortable in a quieter home with no children and no canine friends. Mabel has really stolen her mom’s heart over the months and she is now in search of an adopter that will give her the time, patience and love she needs to steal theirs as well. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one.
