My story

Hi I’m Squeakers! I’m approximately 7 months old, a whopping 10 pounds, and as cute as can be.  They say I’m part Chihuahua, part mini-poodle but my foster mom says I’m 100% adorable. I’m enjoying the company of my foster siblings, (dogs, cats, and a rabbit) and playing with all of our toys, doing zoomies, and chasing squirrels in the backyard.  My favorite place when it’s time to relax is with my people. I love to sit next to you or on your lap. I’m your little shadow and I like to go where you go although I am learning to explore, little by little, without my human as I get more comfortable. I have a playful bark when chasing the big dogs and I’ll alert you when someone comes in the door. I think my early days were the use of potty pads in the home so I’ve been working on going potty outside and I’m getting really good at it but I’ll need someone with patience and understanding to reinforce my learning, especially in a new home, but if piddle pads are your lifestyle I can master that too. It’s a little scary to be left home alone without any other companions so my ideal home would be with a human around very often if there are no other pets to keep me company. I walk well on a leash but I’m not aware that cars are dangerous so you’ll want to have a good grip in case I see one of those pesky squirrels, which I’m destined to catch someday.
