My story

Meet Roady! He is a 1y old male American Foxhound/Posavac Hound mix the weighs 43lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/30 as a stray. He was microchipped and his owners were contacted, yet they decided to no reclaim. This sweet boy has been well cared for as seen in his clean fur and ears and his overall demeanor shows he was loved, even if for a short period of time. He is quite handsome with an adorable spot at the top of his head. Its easy to see his sadness, but the more time spent with him, the more he realizes he is safe. Roady enjoys being petted and loved on, and he was so sweet to give me kisses on my cheek. All of the noise in the shelter makes him nervous and the dogs barking at him is a bit intimidating yet he showed no interest in them. We do ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently and appears housetrained. He deserves to have a loving family to spend time with, have a secured yard to play in, but most importantly live indoors where he can be close and cuddly, and feel safe and loved! Come meet this precious boy!
