Meet Kodak, a gentle 7-year-old soul who’s ready to focus on his next big adventure: finding a forever home. This sweet guy has all the credentials—he’s potty trained, kennel trained, and once he warms up, incredibly loving and loyal.Kodak can be a little shy and nervous at first, especially in new environments, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and snuggly side shines through. On a recent overnight Dog Day Out, Kodak showed what a special companion he truly is. While he started off a little unsure, once out on a walk, his inner tracker kicked in—nose to the ground, calmly exploring the world around him like a true hound. With his long ears, striking markings, and keen interest in scents, we wouldn’t be surprised if Kodak has a little Black and Tan Coonhound in him!Despite his age, Kodak had no trouble jumping into a lifted SUV, strolling through the neighborhood (completely uninterested in squirrels, ducks, or rabbits), and hopping right into bed—yes, he’s a quiet sleeper who prefers snuggling close over sleeping in a crate. Once comfortable, Kodak becomes a cuddle connoisseur, leaning in for ear scratches, belly rubs, and soaking up every moment of love. He also enjoys toys—especially the squeaky kind—and loves a cheesy snack or two on a relaxing patio outing.Kodak is looking for a calm, patient home where he can decompress, feel safe, and build a deep bond with his new family. He doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy spot, a few toys, some yummy treats, and someone to love him as much as he’ll love them. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart of gold, Kodak may be your perfect match. Come meet him today and see if your home is the one he’s been waiting for.Kodak was able to go on another Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Kodak enjoyed a drive with the windows down to the Trolley Trail - he couldn`t get enough sniffs! He was a little shy at first but incredibly sweet and gentle. Once he warmed up, Kodak stood close and laid at my feet. He has strong `best friend` energy and will be a loyal companion. He`s a happy pup that will steal your heart.`This guy goes to doggy playgroups, runs around with other dogs, and would love to meet any potential canine siblings. Come meet Kodak at KCPP Main Campus today!
