MEET CHEKHOV - Watch my video!Soulful Chekhov is a former community cat named for Anton Chekhov, Russian playwright and short-story writer, widely considered to be one of the greatest writers of all time. Our Chekhov hasn`t actually read any of his namesake`s work, but he`ll be happy to sit beside you while you catch up on some of the stories. While he relaxes, Chekhov will show you his biscuit making skills (with his big oven mitts! He is polydactyl!), and show off his gentle, rumbly purr. Chekhov was living outside when he was trapped by our rescue team and brought in to find a new home. He must have been someone`s pet at some point because he enjoys treats and attention. Chekhov won`t judge you if you choose a beach read over the classics - he just wants your company!Chekhov is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.Chekhov is a star biscuit maker and purr machine!
