This handsome guy has a big personality and even bigger opinions—he's not shy about sharing his thoughts with lots of meows and chirps. Macho is a lover of the finer things in life: soft cat towers, tasty wet food, and all the treats you’re willing to hand-deliver (literally—he loves eating them right out of your hand!). He also enjoys lounging while watching TV and listening to music—he’s a cat with culture! Playful and social, Macho is a hit with kids and has done well living with other cats. Like with any introduction, we recommend a slow approach when bringing him into a home with resident pets. He especially loves batting around ball toys and will happily entertain himself—or you! If you’re looking for a sweet, talkative companion who loves food, fun, and family time, Macho might just be the perfect match. Come meet him today! I had a heart condition that you should be aware of. I feel great and it might never cause me any problems. Staff can talk with you more about that. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
