My story

Meet one of our beautiful Persian cats available for adoption- Athena is a very timid, gentle soul from a large group recently rescued. Like many Persians, Athena may experience some breathing and eye issues due to their flat-faced features. An adopter should be well versed in the breed and their needs. A calm, quiet adult environment and attentive care will hopefully help Athena come out of her shell. Though currently quite shy and under-socialized to people, with time and patience, Athena will hopefully become a cat who can share her love. She needs a cat savvy guardian willing to work with her to build her trust in people. They've shown they can get along well with other cats with a proper introduction and Athena would probably do best in a home with another feline showing her the ropes. She has been exposed to an upper respiratory virus so all cats in the home should be kept up to date with vaccines. If you're looking for a beautiful feline with a lot of potential, and just needs a little extra understanding, Athena might be the perfect match. Rescued with 82 others in a time of crisis, this kitty has been through so much in just a few weeks-and is now ready for the peace and comfort of a forever home.Athena has been thriving with her two brother's Cicero and Atticus. The three of them would love to find a home together. However, we recognize this is a large ask and if Athena cannot stay with her brothers than we would want her to join a home with another cat-friendly feline.
