My story

A volunteer writes:Gemini had a long life with the person she loved and loved her back. Sadly, her owner moved to another country and brought Gemini to our care center in order to find her a new home. Gemini is a gentle and sweet senior who comes with wonderful comments. She would be friendly with all, outgoing, affectionate, playful and enjoy lap time and brushing. Within our walls, Gemini is a socialite. She is never in hiding as, well, putting her head in the sand is not her thing. She is a meet and greet kind of gal, a very pleasant dame anyone would want to spend time with. She is a pretty gal too, a calico with the most lovely markings. Gemini was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a while ago and is doing very well with a little pill twice a day. No big deal. I have a cat just like her and she is now 18 and up and about...Gemini would love to be once again...loved. So, come and meet her at the Manhattan Care Center and take her home!Gemini was in her den, but came out on her own at the sound of the assessor's voice and stood tall with a high tail while allowing and enjoying all petting. She ate squeeze-up treats and was calm when picked up and held, giving a teeny little meow, and remained calm when set back down.Gemini interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. Primary Color: Calico Weight: 6.4 Age: 15yrs 0mths 1wks
