Jessie

My story

Jessie is a local owner surrender. She is 2 years old, and 24 lbs. Jessie is very friendly, active and playful. She loves dogs and kids and giving kisses! She absolutely loves being outdoors regardless of the weather and has a strong prey drive. Once on a scent she doesn’t give up easily. She is constantly on the go needing plenty of opportunities for exercise or stimulation like puzzles and scent games. She is VERY smart and would do well with someone interested in agility training. Jessie prefers to be with her people but is doing well being left alone and is doing well crated at night. She is a champion chewer, so plenty of chew toys should be available or she will search out your shoes! She is easily distracted with a treat or toy though. She can jump and climb easily so a secure 5’ or higher fence is required. She will not do well with a chain link fence as she will easily climb it. She loves being out in the yard and entertains herself running laps and sniffing for critters. She would thrive with another playful dog or two. Jessie is very excitable and will likely knock over young children so although she is great with kids, a home with kids 10 and older is preferred. Jessie will do best with an active family who will give her plenty of opportunities for exercise. Jessie is being fostered southwest of Boston and is available for visits.
