My story

Four beautiful siblings, both Herder and Guardian combos, who grew up as pups along with other dogs, and kids. They are dog and people social, playful and attention seeking, big loves! Cowboy is the biggest, and super handsome! He is very sweet, more Aussie-like than his siblings and he LOVES his food. As Guardians, they will watch over and bark at night if outdoors, as Herders they are also vigilant, needing space and activity. They are still growing and likely to be in the 70-85 pound range. Cowboy is currently in a loving foster home, here's what they have to say about him: Cowboy is such a love, he loves to snuggle in close, get head scratches, and just lay nearby. He also loves to have his space and will flop down on the dog bed, in a hallway, or anywhere really. He is very mellow, spending most of his time lounging and relaxing. When he's ready to play, he loves to play with our 4.5 yr old dog Penny, romping in the yard. He also loves to go on walks. He's been great with our kids - both engaging and gentle, so would make a wonderful family dog. He's already a great walker on leash. He was previously crate trained and has taken to it in our home with no problems, and he hasn't had any accidents indoors, barking to let us know if he needs to go out, so he seems to be house trained too! He very trainable and eager to please, plus he's food and affection motivated, just wanting to do the right thing and be loved. As a guardian dog, he does bark (quick, 2 barks) when people come to the door, but just to alert us, not constant barking. He is on the shy side, so he takes time to warm up to new people entering the house, but once he does he's a total love. This is one stellar pup who would make a loving household very lucky. If Cowboy sounds like the guy for you, apply today to set up a meet and greet! Please call 707-459-4900.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt COWBOY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
