Meet Oscar – The Loyal Companion Who Was Left Behind  Oscar is a 7-year-old, 30-pound pup who’s looking for a fresh start after the only family he ever knew gave him up. His mom had him since he was a puppy, but when her fiancé issued an ultimatum—him or the dog—she chose him. Thankfully, someone sstepped in to keep Oscar from going to the shelter but she is not able to keep him. So now we’re on the hunt for a forever home that will choose Oscar every single time. Oscar is truly a gem. He’s crate and house trained, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. He’s also working on shedding a few pounds—just about 5—to hit his ideal weight but what's a few extra pounds among friends? This sweet boy doesn’t ask for much—just a calm environment, kind people, and a little affection. He’s good with other dogs, especially those who match his mellow vibe. Oscar thrives in peaceful surroundings and would be happiest in a home without chaos or loud energy. He may have been let down by someone he trusted, but Oscar hasn’t lost his loving heart.
