PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Buddy! Buddy is approximately 8 months old, 33 lbs currently and he is a Mutt! Buddy was found as a puppy. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house-training, but still needs work with crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 8+, dog-savvy cats, and other dogs. His foster says, `Buddy is super smart, and has mastered the commands of sit, lay, heel, and come, working on stay. He would do best in a calm home, but loves having other dogs to play with. A fenced yard would be best, because he really doesn`t enjoy walking on leash. He is super shy, but with effort and time, he will bond with at least one person. Once he bonds, he is a Velcro puppy, and will be by your side always. He loves attention, and will beg for pets, once he adjusts. He really loves cuddling with his human, and will make someone an awesome BFF. Comments: He has never growled or nipped at any of our grandsons. However the only one he has really allowed to touch him or hold him is our special needs grandson. He seems to sense that he is safe with him. We have had no problems with Buddy, aside from what we expect with any puppy his age. He enjoys playing with our other young dogs, and our kittens. He has been around horses, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and goats. The only issue we have had is he gets excited by the movement of the rabbits and wants to play with them. He had picked up a couple young chicks, but left no bite marks.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on July 18th.
