My story

On 7/13/25 Banana met another dog. He was easy to leash up and walked well going outside. He showed no reaction in the catch pen and was allowed into the yard. The other dog, Bluey, was playful and friendly, but Banana didn't show much interest. He seems house trained as he was more interest in "doing his business" than interacting with Bluey. Once he pottied, he mostly kept to himself, exploring the yard. He was very tolerant of Bluey, but just didn't seem interested in playing. Low key dude From a staff member 7/11: Banana did great with his meet and greet. He takes a minute to warm up to people, but he'll eventually let you pet him. He's not as shy once he sniffs around for a bit, will wander up to you. He is so sweet with people. Haven't dog tested yet. From a staff member 7/10: Banana was waiting right at the front of his kennel because I took other dogs out to stretch their legs. He didn't bark, just kept repositioning himself with each dog I took outside until I finally got to his kennel. He is very patient. Didn't rush out of the kennel nor step on my toes. Like the gentleman he is, walked on leash perfectly. He pottied as soon as he got to the back run, sniffed around for a few minutes and checked on me every other minute. From a staff member 7/9: Banana is a sweetie! He came to the other side of the divider when I asked if he wanted to go outside. He walks great on leash, but doesn't seem to be good with recalls. He seems to have selective hearing, but on leash will sit right under you. Off leash, he's off doing his own thing and will eventually come over to check on you. He's a bit shy starting off but eventually wants pats on the head. I will continue to take him outside on my work days. He seems to be a pleasant dog. No barking, pulling on leash nor jumping on you. If you lay on the ground, he will walk over and lick your face! I found that out when I was doing acrobatics trying to get a good picture of him. He moves too much! Hahaha

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Banana , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
