How this pet arrived: Jax was brought in by his previous owner on June 24, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Are you fluent in Feline? Can you spot a tail flick or head whip faster than someone can say, "Don't pet the belly"? Then Jax might just be your kind of cat. He's social and friendly on his terms, and he enjoys gentle attention - but push past his limits, and he'll let you know exactly how he feels. Jax enjoys the simple pleasures - birdwatching (indoors, of course), cozy blanket nests, and Temptations treats. He communicates assertively when overstimulated: ears back, head whip, maybe a bite. It's not personal - it's policy. His ideal home is one where his body language is read and respected, his space is his own, and he doesn't have to deal with the hustle and bustle of young kids or other pets. Once he's comfortable, you'll see his social side as he greet everyone who comes in the door and bats his toys around like he owns the place! Now, transitions can be hard for Jax. Getting him in and out of carriers? That's a whole operation. A hard plastic, top-loading carrier is required. A calm, quiet room for decompression is essential. Let him make the first move, and take things at his pace! Jax may not be cuddly, but he's full of character and will reward your patience with moments of quirky charm and loyal presence - on his terms, of course. Shy/Fearful Cat:Jax requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 16.98 Age: 5yrs 3mths 3wks
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jax, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
