LUCKY

My story

Medium-sized* teddy bear seeks home with humans and a well-adjusted dog friend to help him settle into his new life! If you apply to meet Lucky, we'd love if you could visit him a time or two to bond with him before he joins the family unit. *Could really have used a breadbox for scale - please note that Lucky is NOT a large dog (he is not a full-sized Golden).  Lucky is shy and sweet but walks beautifully on-leash and simply needs a a bit of encouragement to make friends.  He is food-motivated so treats are very helpful!  Lucky is a a very moderate size - in photos he looks quite a bit larger than he actually is!  Children in the home should be middle-school aged or older since Lucky will understandably need some help settling in.  A new dog friend  who is similar in size will be a   fun companion for Lucky and help very much with his adjustment.   Lucky will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.
