My story

Duncan is a 2-year-old, 55-pound sweetheart who tends to stay in the background, quietly waiting his turn while louder dogs get noticed first. But behind that calm, gentle demeanor is a goofy, affectionate boy with so much love to give. Duncan has excellent notes from dog playgroup—he’s easygoing, playful, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Out on a recent outing, he took treats gently in his kennel, leashed up easily, and calmly explored the play yard, checking in with his handler and pausing for back scratches and snacks. Even when another dog barked from a nearby run, Duncan remained unfazed and composed. When it was time to go back, he got adorably playful and showed his lighter side. He’s an old soul with a young heart, patiently waiting for someone to finally see him—and realize he’s been the one all along.
