My story

Say hello to Pitch, an adorable 3-month-old terrier/chihuahua mix with a whole lot of spunk packed into her 8-pound frame! This fun-sized girl is expected to grow to about 20 pounds full grown—just the right size for adventure, cuddles, and everything in between.Pitch is funny, loyal, loving, and full of energy. She’s got a big voice for a little pup and isn’t afraid to use it—especially when she’s excited or wants to play! Her ideal home would be one where she has room to run, play, and let her bold personality shine.This smart girl is already learning how to navigate the world and is eager to grow and thrive with a family who can give her the love, guidance, and space she needs. She’s a fast learner with a big heart, and she’s ready to share it with a family that appreciates her spunky, spirited nature.If you’re looking for a playful companion who will keep you laughing and love you fiercely, Pitch is the pup for you!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
