My story

Cashmere Carol is currently located at the EAC in Westminster (10460 Town Center Dr, Westminster, CO, 80021) and can be visited from 10am-6pm Sat/Sun and 12pm-8pm Mon-Fri! Email our EAC team at EAC@savinganimalstody.org for more information! Meet Cashmere Carol, a gentle young tortoiseshell beauty with soft eyes, a tender heart, and a story of quiet strength. Recently retired from motherhood after raising a healthy, joyful litter of five kittens, Carol is finally ready for a life of her own—a life full of peace, safety, and love. Carol’s journey hasn’t been easy. She traveled all the way from Tennessee to Colorado with her babies when they were just 3 weeks old, and through it all, she remained a steadfast and nurturing presence. Her kittens flourished under her care—plump, playful, and purring bundles of life—and that’s thanks to Carol’s unwavering devotion. Now that her little ones are growing up, Carol is learning to be something she’s never had the chance to be: just herself. Still a bit overwhelmed by sudden movements and new things, Carol seeks comfort in the presence of her kittens, often curling up beside them when she’s feeling unsure. But each day, she takes a step further into the light—accepting soft pets, exploring her surroundings, and slowly revealing the affectionate, curious spirit that’s been tucked away under layers of mama instinct. She may not be ready for laps or long hugs just yet, and she’s still a bit wary of hands near her face, but with patience and kindness, Carol will blossom. Her purrs are real, her trust is growing, and her sweetness is undeniable. She would love a home that includes one (or more) of her kittens, but with gentle support and time, she would also do beautifully on her own. With excellent litter box habits, perfect mealtime manners, and a deep reservoir of quiet love, Cashmere Carol is ready for her next chapter—the one where she gets to be loved simply for being herself.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cashmere Carol, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
