Meet Gramps, the Golden Oldie with a Heart Full of Love! Gramps is a sweet 14-year-old Lab mix who's searching for his forever cuddle buddy. Don't let his age fool you. He's still got a playful spark that shines through in the most heartwarming ways. Whether it's a gentle game of tug, a leisurely stroll, or just wagging his tail when you walk in the door, Gramps knows how to sprinkle joy into everyday life. His favorite pastime? Snuggling on the sofa, of course! Gramps is a certified couch potato, perfectly content lounging next to his humans while you binge-watch your favorite shows. His soulful eyes and gentle demeanor will melt your heart faster than you can say "belly rubs." Gramps thrives on human companionship and is happiest when he's close to his people. He's low-maintenance, mostly house-trained (but he is old and sometimes needs that extra reminder), and has mastered the art of relaxation. Plus, his loving nature makes him the perfect companion for a calm, cozy home. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats which he loves, but he does not necessarily have to have furry siblings If you're looking for a loyal friend to share peaceful afternoons and occasional playful moments, Gramps is your guy. He's proof that senior dogs have the biggest hearts and plenty of love left to give. Ready to meet your new best friend? Gramps is waiting with a wagging tail and a warm spot on the couch just for you! His back story: Gramps was a victim in a cruelty case in a rural area. He was seized along with the other animals on the property and taken to a rural shelter. That shelter immediately reached out to us at Mazie's Mission asking for assistance. We found him a foster home, and got him seen by our vets. He was severely emaciated, covered in fleas and had moderate tartar on his teeth. Our hearts broke for him; he was just as sweet as could be despite horrible treatment for who knows how long! We treated him for fleas, and sent him to his foster home with a diet plan to help him slowly and safely gain weight. After a couple months he started looking like a healthy dog!! He was healthy enough to safely receive a dental cleaning, thankfully because his breath was stinky! He is in great shape now and ready for his adoptive people to find him! He is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated! Let us know if you think you may be his forever family! Www.Maziesmission.Org/adopt
