My story

Meet Chloe — A True Detroit Gem with a Heart of Gold Chloe is what we lovingly call a Detroit Special — likely a mix of hound and terrier with soulful eyes and a spirit full of resilience. She was found wandering the streets of Detroit and we found her at our Friends of Detroit Animal Control. She was full of milk when found from having had puppies. Even after all she’s been through, Chloe is incredibly gentle and loving. She absolutely adores children and lights up around them. Chloe is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, a tough and painful process, but she’s facing it with quiet strength and a tail that wags with happiness. She seems to be non-reactive to other dogs, and we’re still learning about her comfort with cats. What we do know is this: Chloe has so much love to give, and she’s ready to share it with a family who will cherish her the way she deserves.
