Madison is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Madison is: Spayed: Not yet! She will be spayed on a future date, and will be adopted with an additional spay contract and refundable $150 spay deposit if adopted before then Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Madison: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well in her crate when home alone for up to 3 hours at a time so far Leash walking: She has shown some frustration/reactivity to other dogs she sees on walks, and can tend to pull and bark. She would benefit from continuing to work on this! Dog social: She has not had close interaction with other dogs while in our care Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: She has done very well in spending time with a 5-year-old! Madison likes: - Playing with her toy collection - Snuggling with her person - Investigating the backyard bushes Madison is a gorgeous, smiley girl who is fun and silly. She likes to spring like a deer into her foster's hedge, apparently searching for creatures. She also loves to rifle through the toy box, select a toy and then prance around with it, flipping it up in the air before settling down to squeak the heck out of it and eventually find out what’s inside of it. She would love to keep working on her leash skills with rewards-based training, and a home where she will get plenty of mental enrichment! Madison is heartworm positive and on activity restriction. She is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. You can learn more about heartworm treatment on our resource page -https://www.onetail.org/heartworm/ Madison's adoption fee is $300, and she is ready to meet you! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program.
