My story

Hi there, I’m Nala! I’m a 2-year-old Siberian Husky with one dazzling blue eye, one warm brown eye, and three strong legs that carry me through life with so much love to give. Yep—I’m a proud tripod pup! I didn’t start out this way, but after months of vet visits, treatments, and hope, my humans realized the kindest thing for me was to let go of the leg that just wouldn’t heal. And you know what? I’m finally pain-free, fully healed, and so ready to find my forever family. I’ve been living in a foster home for over five months now, and it’s been a great place to rest, recover, and blossom into the happy, loving girl I was meant to be. I absolutely adore people and will follow you from room to room like your loyal little shadow. I melt for belly rubs and chin scratches, and I thrive on attention—if you’re loving on me, I’m the happiest girl in the world. I walk on a leash with a bit of pulling, but to be honest, I’m still getting used to it. Because of my surgery, I’ve been on crate rest for quite a while—but I’m learning quickly and eager to explore more now! Speaking of crates, I actually love mine. It’s my safe little retreat, and I often put myself to bed in there all on my own. I would love to have another doggy sibling in my forever home—I do get anxious when I’m left completely alone, but if I have a dog friend (like my foster sister Zoe), I’m totally fine. I’m good with kids and gentle with the little ones. I haven’t met any cats, but I do have a high prey drive, so it might be best to keep me away from those fast-moving fuzzballs. I may have three legs, but I have one giant heart and a whole lot of love to share. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate best friend who’s overcome a lot and is ready for the good life—I just might be your girl.
