Arlington

My story

Happy, friendly Arlington with his lovely wonky ears came in as a stray, so we don`t know his history. This 60lb boy is estimated to be about 3 years old. He knows sit and is treat motivated, which is helpful in training! Arlington is taking advantage of summer weather to spend some time playing fetch with volunteers and staff. And if a ball happens to end up in the pool, he is not opposed to getting cooled off to retrieve it! Afterwards, he`ll grace you with a lovely handshake on command as a thank you!Arlington has been tolerant of other dogs in play groups and, like all our adult dogs, Arlington will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. At the main campus, you can bring your dog along when you come for adoptions, if you like. Arlington was able to go on a Dog Day Out and here is what they had to say, `We had the best day with Arlington! We went for a walk, grabbed lunch, treated him to ice cream, then headed back to my house where he played fetch and splashed around in the pond—before getting a much-needed rinse in the shower. He was such a sweet and lovely boy the whole time, always wanting scratches and kisses. Arlington is incredibly smart and well-behaved. He knows sit, shake, and understands no. On our walk, he had so much happy energy and greeted everyone he met with tail wags—of course, everyone adored him! He even did amazing for his bath, calmly sitting while we washed him like the best boy ever. If I could adopt a dog right now, Arlington would be my first choice!`Arlington is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
