My story

At eight years old, Sorrel has seen her share of the world—and she prefers to keep an eye on it from the safety of a sunny windowsill. With her slender frame, patchwork of orange and white fur, and a distinctive winky eye from an old ulcer, Sorrel carries a quiet dignity that doesn’t ask for fuss. She once knew love in a home of her own, but was recently found in the bushes just outside the Adoption Center. Now a house cat here, she roams freely—never needy, never loud, simply present. She's not one to seek attention, but she doesn’t mind sharing space. If you respect her independence, she’ll reward you with the calm companionship of someone who’s been through a lot and prefers peace. She spends much of her time perched by the window, taking in the day with an expression that says she’s thinking big thoughts. She may not be a lap cat, but she could be your gentle roommate—quiet, curious, and content with what she has. If your heart leans toward the underdog (or undercat), Sorrel might be exactly the kind of soul you’ve been hoping to meet.
