Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Zola the Dane! This gorgeous Great Dane is around 1 year old and currently weighs 96 pounds. She is in our care after she was sprung from Animal Control, and is looking for an experienced adopter to help her be the best dog she can be. Zola the Dane is slowly working to put on weight (so she is quite food motivated) and is doing well with leash training. She might have springs in her legs as she has proven she can even jump a 4 foot fence, so continuing her training is critical! Zola is dog reactive so she will need to go to a home without other dogs. We also have found she isn't sure how to be around cats and gets overly excited when she sees them- so no cats will be preferred as well. Due to her size, a home with younger children is not ideal. She is great with people overall and a very loving girl. We know that there are a lot of specifics around the home we hope to find her, but we know it's out there! If you fit the criteria, and are experienced with extra large breeds, please consider giving Zola the Dane her forever home! We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
