My story

Hi – I’m Isabelle! I love people, so I would love to meet you anytime! I am new to Minnesota, but I love it here! I just came up from Alabama, where I was starving and had really painful skin. Some nice people got me to a rescue place that helped me get well. I’m much healthier now at 52 lbs, my skin is getting better every day, and my fur is growing in so pretty in golden locks. Meeting the other 3 dogs and 4 cats that live here was no big deal, but I prefer to follow my foster mom; I won her over quickly, and she declared me “perfect” within a day. I haven’t had a single accident in the house, I sit nicely for treats, and I enjoy walking nicely on a leash. I cooperate nicely through my special skin baths and coat brushing, and I settle down to sleep easily. I love to play fetch, and I while I love all people, I run to the guys first, which my foster mom says is kind of unusual. Now that I am settling in to my home here, I am trying to figure out how to keep this good thing going…which means I’ve started to be protective of my foster family. I have started to get grumpy sometimes when one of the other animals gets near my people. My foster mom corrects me, and I am quick to stop, but I am still learning. I really am sooo sweet and easygoing, so my foster mom says that time and training are what I need, so my forever family should be committed to working with me to help me feel more secure. I would be perfectly happy as an only dog, and I have so much love to give!I’ve had a tough life so far, but I am grateful for my new life and would be the most faithful, loving companion you could have. I still have some healing to do, and I would love to start that with my forever family as soon as possible. Is that you?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Isabelle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
