You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Andy, one of our Border Terriers Andy and Mandy are two Border Terriers that were found wandering, frightened, and alone. No one has come forward to claim them, but what they may have lost in the past, we hope to make up for with a brighter future.Andy is a playful boy. Enjoys playing with toys. May be to playful to be in a home with cats, so a cat free house may be best. We believe this precious pair to be mother and son, and their close bond is evident in the way they stay close to each other, offering quiet comfort in an unfamiliar world. Life on the streets has clearly left them a little nervous, but their gentle spirits are shining through more each day.Right now, we’re still learning about them and see that they are doing well on their own and don't have to be adopted together. However, we would love to see them stay side by side — continuing to comfort and grow with each other. After all they’ve endured, keeping them together would mean avoiding yet another stress in their little lives They’re just beginning to learn how to walk on a leash, something they likely never experienced before. While they’re unsure and cautious, they allow our staff to handle them with no issues — a testament to their sweet, trusting nature, even after all they’ve been through. What these two need most is a patient, quiet home filled with love and understanding — a space where they can feel safe, build confidence, and learn what it means to truly be part of a family. Definitely will need a home without a cat. The Border Terrier has a double coat: a hard, wiry outer coat over a soft, fluffy undercoat. Like most double-coated breeds, the Border sheds seasonally. Most of the time, a quick brushing every week or two is enough to keep the coat in good shape. Some Borders seem less tolerant of hot weather, so outdoor exercise should be kept to a minimum when the temperature gets above 85 degrees F.
