My story

A volunteer writes:I was immediately drawn to Muffin's beauty! Her eyes steal the show but she is also glamorously dressed in a Tortie coat. Muffin is a talker. I do not understand what she is telling me but that's ok because she seems quite happy to have me visiting her. Muffin is 15 year old but does not look her age. Good genes I guess and likely good care by her former family. Still she is with us now and we would love for her to find quickly a home to keep her good spirit and her good health. A little shy to start with, soft words got Muffin out of her box. It did not take long for her to come to me and grace me with her sweet and friendly demeanor. A good purrer she is as well as a biscuit maker!She is sooo sweet and is such a pretty sight! Muffin would love to be home, love and be loved! Click here to learn more about the adoption process!Muffin is a very sweet and slightly shy cat, who is in the den, but who came forward when offered treats. She enjoyed petting, but had large pupils and then began purring during the petting. She loves squeeze-up treats and would pull back a little bit, unsure about coming fully out of the den. After the door was shut she relaxed more, lay on her side and seemed to be soliciting attention. The assessor opened the door again and she loved petting, leaning in for cheek rubs while quite relaxed.Muffin interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience provided they are counseled on either moderately fearful behavior or shyness.
