My story

An unaltered male, 80 lb., approximately two year old German Shepherd was found in one of my neighbor's backyards on Sunday evening, 06/29/2025. The dog was wearing a collar and had a leash attached to the collar. He is very sweet and well-behaved thus far. I called Mecklenburg County, who were willing to pick up the dog--the wrinkle being that evidently as reported by several unhelpful social media commenters that after 72 hours all unclaimed animals are being euthanized.
