My story

Meet Sassy Some might call me “semi-feral,” but my foster mom likes to say I’m just “semi-scared.” My name’s Sassy, and I’ve been through a lot. I lived outside with my mom and siblings until one heartbreaking day when I lost both my mom and a sibling. Left with two brothers—one with special needs—I stepped up to become their little protector. Because of all that, I’ve learned to be cautious, and it’s taken me about six months to start feeling safe indoors. I’m still unsure around new humans, but if you’re patient and bring treats, I promise I’ll slowly start to trust you. I may never be a lap cat, but I do love to play, and I’m a big fan of birdwatching from a comfy window perch. I absolutely must have another cat in my forever home—bonus points if they’re friendly and outgoing, because that will really help me continue to grow. Calm dogs don’t bother me much. It’s those unpredictable humans I’m still working on understanding. I know I’m not the easiest cat to love right away, but if you’re someone with a kind heart, a quiet home, and the patience to let me come around at my own pace... then maybe I’m the one you’ve been looking for.
