My story

Currently being fostered in Alexandria, VA Meet Ozzie – Your Future Shadow and Snuggle Buddy Personality Ozzie is a fluffy black bundle of joy with a goofy heart and a soul made for snuggling. He’s a sweet-natured Velcro pup who wants nothing more than to be where his people are. Since arriving, he has been an absolute dream puppy - playful, affectionate, and quick to bond with everyone around him. Energy Level Ozzie has balanced puppy energy. He loves playtime in the yard and gets bursts of zoomies, but once he’s had his fun, he’s perfectly content to curl up on the couch for a snooze. He’s still young, so his exercise needs may change as he grows, but for now, he’s a perfect mix of silly play and soft snuggles. Skills and Training - Mostly housebroken – no accidents yet! - Crate training in progress – settles after a short protest - Working on leash training - Food motivated – responds to gentle redirection like “nah uh” or “no” - Smart and eager to learn – normal, curious puppy behavior Companionship Ozzie is a social butterfly. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, is reported to have done well with cats, and absolutely adores people of all ages, including kids. He would thrive in a home with another playful pup, a few family members to love on him, or a calm kitty companion. He’s ready to fit right in and become someone’s best friend. Love and Affection From his fluffy black fur to the way he melts into your lap, Ozzie is the full package. He loves deeply and loyally, and he’s happiest when he’s near his people. Whether it’s for play or a nap, he wants to be part of the moment - and with a pup this charming, you’ll want him right there with you too.
